The European social partnership organizations have – supported by the EU commission – carried out an European wide analysis of the achieved additional value due to social partnership engagement. The results show that the historic increased and in the culture of the concerning country anchorage national structures of the social dialogue in line with the European agreement process cannot “harmonize” by implication. Not the legal and institutional line of relationships between employer and employee is important for success but the engagement of the stakeholders which is demented because of relationships between social partners – their respect and the consisting confidence. In what way these relationships can be learned and taught, which cultural differences between north and south European social partnership cultures have to be considered are the topic of the Wolfsburger conversation to which I invite you on behalf of all hosts.
