Breitengrad Verlag media partner of the BIMCO 39 Annual Conference
Hamburg, 15 May 2008. The Hamburger-based Breitengrad Verlag publishing house is supporting the annual 'conference day' of the “BIMCO 39” new generation initiative organised by the international maritime network BIMCO (Baltic and International Maritime Council), which will be held in Hamburg on 29 May, with its two media publications, Port Report and the baltic sea magazine. The BIMCO organisation, founded in 1905 and based in Copenhagen is the biggest international shipping organisation worldwide with 2,500 members from 123 countries. BIMCO launched the “BIMCO 39” network initiative three years ago with the aim of providing maritime industry employees in the ages group up to 39 years with a platform to exchange ideas and promote further training.
The conference is focusing on challenges and trends of the maritime industry in Europe and Asia.

Turntable Baltic Sea gets a common medium: the baltic sea magazine
The publishers of the new magazine are the Breitengrad Verlag and the Baltic Sea Forum, presided over by the former German Federal Minister of Transport Kurt Bodewig. Over more than 80 pages, the independent baltic sea magazine quarterly reports on business, politics and society in the Baltic Sea region, as well as on news and topics of interest in the fields of lifestyle and culture. Stories, interviews and background reports in German and English discuss topics touching the ten states sharing the Baltic coastline.
