Offshore Wind Energy: Energy supply in the Sea

 

Offshore wind energy is to supply a larger part within the energy mix. Wind farm projects are planned for Germany’s shores. Taking the unique national parks of the Wattenmeer, the Bodden and the tourism into account, they will be installed in so-called purely commercial zones (AWZ) of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea.

MOM brings Swedish companies to Germany

 

Business consultants, international consulting firms, chambers of industry and commerce and associations: In the eyes of Hasso Wien, all are beneficial institutions. Perhaps there are even too many of them. German mobile phone workers (NOKIA) to receive help from EU Globalisation Fund

The European Commission has today approved an application by Germany under the Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) for €5.5 million to help more than 1,300 workers made redundant by Nokia back into employment. The application will now be put before the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union for decision. The application was submitted to the Commission on 6 February 2009.

Far-reaching changes to the tax systems of the Baltic states

The Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania became members of the European Union on 1st May 2004 and the states initially enjoyed a constant double-digit growth. In the meantime, however, a number of tax laws have been passed which partly introduce extensive changes to the national tax systems and which are therefore significant for companies operating in the region or for companies planning future operations with regard to budget planning and also tax considerations.

IV. Baltic Summer-Hands-on Seminar in Latvia
Baltic and German students will spend from August 21 to August to 28 one week together on a former German noble manor in Karlamuiza/Latvia. There, they will obtain a profound overview of the Baltic countries’ diversified history mediated by Lativian, Estonian and German renowned scientists.
